Why buy a Japanese import before it lands?
Save up to £1,000
The offer price ends when the car arrives at the showroom.
First choice
Reserve before the car is on the forecourt and before other buyers see it.
Full paperwork up front
Auction sheet, grade and photos to review before you commit.
Verified mileage
Mileage is checked against Japanese auction records.
From Japanese auction to your driveway
Once a car is bought at auction, it's exported and shipped to a UK port, which usually takes six to ten weeks. It then clears customs, is registered with the DVLA and gets a full workshop preparation before handover. Read our import process, what auction grades mean, and how we verify mileage.
Frequently asked questions
How much can I save by buying a car while it's in transit?
Up to £1,000 off the showroom price. The exact saving depends on the car and is confirmed in writing when you reserve.
When does the in-transit discount end?
The day the car arrives at our Solihull showroom. From then on it's sold at its full advertised price.
How do I reserve a car that hasn't arrived yet?
Send an enquiry on this page or on the car's own page. We'll confirm the price, arrival estimate and reservation deposit, then take the car off the market for you.
Is the reservation deposit refundable?
Ask us for the terms on the car you're interested in. We explain the deposit and what happens in every scenario before you pay anything.
What can I see before the car arrives?
The Japanese auction sheet with its grade, auction photographs, the listed specification and our mileage check against auction records.
What happens if the car arrives in worse condition than described?
Every car is inspected on arrival. If it doesn't match the auction description, we'll talk you through your options, including cancelling the reservation.
How long does a car in transit take to arrive?
Shipping from Japan usually takes six to ten weeks, followed by customs, registration and workshop preparation. We'll give you an estimate for your car.
Can I part exchange or use finance on an in-transit car?
Part exchange, yes. We can value your current car in advance so it's ready to swap when your new car is handed over. Finance isn't available on cars in transit. Once the car has arrived at the showroom, finance can be arranged, but the in-transit saving no longer applies.
Do you deliver in-transit cars nationwide?
Yes. You can collect from our West Midlands showroom or have the car delivered anywhere in the UK once it's prepared.
